Some fund-raising ideas - among many!

Dinner (could be detective mystery)
Open garden + Tea Dance
Sale of home-made goods (garden, food, craft, gift, etc)

Can or bottle drive
Bingo

 Raffle / draw

Jumble / second hand clothes sale
Car boot sale

 Auction (live: services offered, signed items, crafts, etc; and silent: psc-ers &
 supporters by internet globally?)

 Food fair (local food outlets donate a dish each - they get publicity)

 Company fun day
Friends & family who run half or full marathons (or any challenge swimming, cycling, etc) -ask them to be sponsored for PSC (have some T shirts for runners to wear to promote awareness); remember gift aid column
Change jar

 Recycle cartridges & cell phones (got UK link)
Wristbands

 Promo pack: e.g. pens, badges
Business size donor card with all info needed to donate (can send to lots of people -e.g. in routine
Grants from trusts, companies, etc  
Short PSC write-up needed with contacts and/or leaflet with form to donate to have at events, etc
Events:   Keep costs to a minimum — put reasonably high prices on items - sell as many tickets in advance as possible - keep expectations realistic.   Remember press releases to local, regional and national papers (UKT advises on this in their pack).
